  OSX is pretty cool. I own both (I have a legacy Windows app that won't be created for OSX :(

  My next machine will be a 12" Powerbook. I have a 12" iBook now and I love it (better than my Sony Vaio laptop and my tower PC)

  Since leaving the WTS, this best sums up my outlook, with apologies to Mother Teresa:

  People are unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered.
  Love them anyway.

  If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
  Be kind anyway.

  If you are successful, you will win some false friends and true enemies.
  Succeed anyway.

  The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
  Be good anyway.

  Honesty and frankness will make you vulnerable.
  Be honest and frank anyway.

  What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
  Build anyway.

  People need help, but may attack you if you try to help them.
  Help them anyway.

  it is an almost knee-jerk reaction for someone coming out of a high-control group like the jws to automatically throw all caution to the wind and act in a self-destructive manner.

  (unless one goes from one hc group to another, that is).

  i'm all too curious...for those that have been out a while, did you go through this anomie?

  I never went through that, Brad... I kept an ethical framework in place as I evaluated each part of it in turn. Not a claim on perfection - I've erred, but I never went wild.

  I want to improve my writing style....any suggestions?

  although i know i'm not the worst writer in the world i feel i could improve tremendously.

  anyone know of a good, simple, "only the facts ma'am" book on how to improve one's grammer and style?

  any suggestions from the peanut gallery on things you notice which are grammatically incorrect in my growing legion of posts?

  The best advice I saw is write often, and edit often. I would add to edit a few days after writing. I think your writing addresses points well - I haven't seen you attempt to evoke experience.

  Oh, and read a lot and decide what works for you about the writers you like. Screw how to books.

  Read it - I see someone's math pointing out that the youhgest of the generation that saw 1914 would be 70. I see no indication that the WTS is saying this - in fact, I've seen much reference to them letting go of the generation doctrine. So if you want this article to get attention, you might want to let readers know where the WTS is stating 2005, and attach citations. Just my opinion.
